| AGILITY AN AEROBIC WORKOUT FOR YOU AND YOUR DOG |
Agility is a sport which a dog/handler team is given a set
amount of time in which to direct a dog through a series of
obstacles including tunnels, jumps, see-saw, A-frame, dog
walk, tire jump, and weave poles. Agility is an exciting
fast-paced sport, which requires a dog to have at least
completed the Beginner Level of Obedience.
Agility strengthens the handler/dog bond to create a team
that is magical to watch and learn. Agility is an exciting
departure from obedience training. Dogs can compete for
numerous titles. It's fun and a real confidence builder for
the dog as he learns to negotiate the "dogie" obstacle
course off leash.
Classes are offered in Beginner (starter), Advanced
Beginner and Competition levels.
A new class in FOCUS AGILITY is being offered. This
class will work with dog and handler to develop an
increased focus on the course while performing
sequences through contacts, weaves and Jumps.
Prerequisite - be able to demonstrate good performance
on all obstacles
