Founded in 1958, Western Lakes Training Club is a member run organization dedicated to the training of ALL dogs (purebred and mixed breeds alike), while promoting good sportsmanship and providing an opportunity for dog enthusiasts and owners to share in their common interests. WLTC conducts obedience and agility classes on a weekly basis, and also with the dedication of it's members, holds: AKC - licensed Agility Trials Informal Matches and Show & Go's AKC - licensed Obedience Trials Public Education Demos Canine Good Citizen Testing Community Service Events Registered Therapy Dog Testing Annual Awards Banquet December Holiday Party Some of our public education demos and community service events have included obedience and agility demos at the Niagara County SPCA, Twin City Canal Fest, and the Scottish Festival at the Amherst Museum (just to name a few), sponsored seminars and continue to actively perform community service work at nursing homes, local hospitals and schools through our members' Therapy Dog visits. As a member of WLTC, you are welcome to participate in or volunteer for any or all of these events! Members also receive a discount on training classes and our newsletter, The Qualifier.
